what a night at Lion Fight 31 Scott Kent and crew delivered a stacked card complete with 4 title fights that will go down as instant classics.

Kicking off the title fights was an international bout featuring Paola Cappucci from Florence Italy Taking on the reigning defending champion “The Panther” Antonina Shevchenko from Lima Peru for the Lion Fight Lightweight Title. Antonina would come out guns blazing against the Italian showing early on in the fight that she had no fear of mixing it up with Paloa.Antonina would find great success in the clinch seemingly rag dolling her opponent to the ground with ease after 5 grueling rounds the fight would go to the judges score cards with Antonina earning a unanimous decision win and successfully defending her title.

The second title fight of the night would see Jeri Sitzes from Springfield Mo taking on the Dangerous “Pretty Killer” Iman Barlow who was making her US debut. This fight was for the Super Bantamweight Championship and the Pretty Killer lived up to her name and reputation as a relentless striker pressuring her opponent from bell to bell for 5 rounds with barrages of kicks punches and brutal knees from the clinch en route to the judge’s decision that would ultimately see Iman Barlow with the Lion Fights super Bantamweight title Strapped around her waist.

The Co-Main Event of the night would see undefeated Fighter Gaston Bolanos taking a huge step up in competition when he faced off against the 75-22-3 Tum Sityodtong out of Thailand for the Super Lightweight Title. Both Men came out swinging and landing some devastating shots With Tum doing just enough on the judges score cards to earn himself the victory and the Super Lightweight Title and hand Gaston his first loss as a pro.On a side note this was an incredibly gutsy performance by Gaston Bolanos even in defeat he proved that he was indeed ready to step up to a new level of competition and that he could step up and go blow for blow with someone with the experience level of Tum Sityodtong.

The Main Event of the night was a battle of undefeated fighters as Angela Whitley 14-0 stepped up to fight The reigning Welterweight Champion 40-0 Jorina Baars this was an instant classic and much like the co-main event was a true step up in competition for Angela Whitley.
These two fighters gave each other everything they had from the get go with Angela suffering a cut early on in the fight that seemingly did not faze her as she looked to bring it to the champ in a brilliant display of technical skill and aggression that saw this fight go to the judges score cards and Jorina Baars successfully retaining her title.
